ideal rinsing solution for removing foreign bodies from the eye
for flushing out mucous and purulent secretions
for rinsing after wearing hard contact lenses
as first aid for minor acid or alkali burns to the eyes (e.g., lime, mortar)
supportive treatment for non-infectious and chronic conjunctivitis
